Over the last 20+ years, My Snow Bum
Friends and I have enjoyed learning about the weather. It
all started with Doctor George Fishback from ABC Channel 7.
We would wait up till 11:20 every night in the winter and fall
to hear the weather news and talk.
When we moved to Mammoth in 1985 Don
Marcelin was the man. He knew more about local weather
then anyone I had ever meant. Around that time Howard
Sheckter started the Famous Snow Phone 760-934-snow. When you called
in, you got a detailed discussion on Mammoth Mtns weather
and snowfall forecast.
Now it's 2007 and we have hundreds of
weather links and detailed discussion Blogs. The best part
is most of it you can get access to for free.
I still think the best two forecasts are
The Window Cast
and The Vermont Weather Stick. You will never go wrong
with those!
